KPD Police reports for January 3 – January 9, 2021

The Kennedale police reports included two stolen handguns, a vehicle, a concrete saw, and a 70″ television. Fourteen reports were made over the 7 day period.

Incident Reports: 01/03/21 – 01/09/21

1/03 — Driving While Intoxicated W. Kennedale Parkway … At 9:32 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving and traffic violations. The adult male operator of the vehicle appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. He was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. The suspect refused to give a voluntary blood specimen. After being transported to jail, a blood draw specimen was obtained pursuant to an evidentiary search warrant. 

1/04 — Theft $2,500 to $30,000 Fawn Meadow Trail … At 7:40 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) removed his 2018 Toyota from the driveway of his residence. The vehicle was taken during the overnight hours. It was not secured and had the keys in it. 

1/04 — Burglary of Vehicle Bowman Springs Road … At 2:35 p.m. a victim reported the theft of a catalytic converter from a 1994 Dodge van.

1/05 — Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) Arthur Drive … At 12:22 a.m. officers responded to a domestic dispute. A female reported that she had had an argument with a male, who injured her before leaving the residence. Officers located the male and returned him to the residence. During the investigation, officers determined that the female kept changing her story and that she had been the primary aggressor in the physical altercation. She was arrested and transported to jail for booking. 

1/05 — Criminal Mischief $100 to $750 Arthur Drive … A victim reported that her cell phone was damaged by a known suspect. 

1/05 — Abandoned/Found Property Municipal Drive … At 7:15 a.m. an officer found a license plate. The plate belonged to a vehicle out of Fort Worth.

1/05 — Burglary of Vehicle Parkview Trail … At 10:39 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) had entered his unsecured vehicle during the overnight hours. Suspect(s) removed a 9mm handgun.

1/06 — Reckless Damage or Destruction E. IH 20 … At 3:59 p.m. a victim reported that his vehicle was damaged when an unknown suspect opened the door of a vehicle and struck the victim’s vehicle.

1/07 — Parole Violation Warrant E. Kennedale Parkway … At 10:30 a.m. an officer observed a known suspect and discovered through a computer check that the suspect had an active parole violation warrant. The suspect was stopped and placed under arrest. He was transported to jail for booking. 

1/08 — Incident (Other) E. Mistletoe Drive … At 7:08 a.m. a victim reported that her .25 caliber handgun was missing from her home. The victim did not know when it had been taken.

1/08 — Incident (Other) Oakwood Lane … At 5:21 p.m. an officer received a report of a community mailbox being pried open. No one reported mail missing at the time of the discovery.

1/06 — Burglary of Vehicle W. Kennedale Parkway … At 2:30 p.m. a victim reported to police that unknown person(s) removed an unsecured concrete saw from the back of his truck. The theft occurred while the victim was inside a local business. 

1/09 — Violation of Bond/Protective Order W. Kennedale Parkway … At 9:35 a.m. officers responded to an investigation. A female suspect was reported to have violated a protective order preventing her from contacting a domestic assault victim. The victim was in the suspect’s vehicle with the suspect. She was placed under arrest for violating the order.

1/08 — Burglary North Road … At 5:11 p.m. a victim reported that his 70 inch TV was taken from his residence.
