The Kennedale Lady Kats’ record has moved to 25-5 overall and 2-0 in district play after winning their first two district matches in straight sets. Kennedale defeated Dallas Oak Cliff 3-0 on Tuesday evening after defeating Irving North Hills 3-0 last Friday.
Kennedale will continue district play visiting Arlington Summit International Prep this Friday followed by Dallas Williams Prep next week. The Kats will close out the first round of district against Irving Ranchview. Teams in District 10/4A play each other twice.
LADY KATS RANKED #5, #10 & #12 IN THREE SEPARATE STATE POLLS …
Kennedale took a tumble in the rankings after losing back-to-back matches two weeks ago. The Kats, playing short a starter in those two games, managed to take each match to the brink before losing 3-2 in both.
Currently, MaxPreps has Kennedale 5th in Class 4A statewide (↓2). The Texas Volleyball Insider places the Lady Kats 10th (↓7) while Texas Girls Coaches Association has the Kats as #12.
Area-wise, the Star-Telegram has kept Kennedale in the #1 place for 4A teams and below. Godley (24-7) is in second place.
