The Kennedale LadyKats have continued their march through District 10/4A with a clean record.
The Kennedale Lady Kat Volleyball team has not lost a single set in four outings against other district teams. The Kats have 3-0 wins over Dallas Oak Cliff, Irving North Hills, Arlington Summit International Prep, and Dallas Williams Prep.
Tuesday evening, the Kats defeated Williams Prep 25-3, 25-4, 25-2. Game stat leaders included Maddie Pyles (SR) who led the team in kills with 14 followed by Bridget Barton (SR) with 11. Taylor Poore (SR) had 11 aces and Avery Petters (SR) had 8. Amaya Constantino (SR) and Avery Petters (SR) each recorded 3 digs. Constantino also had 5 receptions. Gracyn Reed (SR) led the team with 35 assists.
Kennedale is now 27-5 overall and 4-0 in 10/4A District play with one game left in the first round.
Next up … Friday, the Lady Kats will host the Irving Ranchview Lady Wolves. The varsity game is set for 5:30 pm at KHS.
Lady Kats are currently ranked #5, #10 & #11 in the state in different polls …
Kennedale rankings remained unchanged from last week in two of the polls but in the third poll, the Kats moved up one place.
MaxPreps has Kennedale remaining in 5th place in Class 4A statewide. The Texas Volleyball Insider places the Lady Kats 10th once again while Texas Girls Coaches Association has the Kats as #11, up from 12th place week.
Record-setting year for individual Kats …
Senior Maddie Pyles is the new kill leader for KHS Volleyball. She surpassed the school record on September 17 and set a new record at 1,371. She has since added 67 more to that total which now sits at 1,438. She currently has 361 so far this season.
Kennedale High has a new ALL TIME KILL LEADER! @maddiepyles04 had an outstanding night with 27 kills, setting the new kill record at 1,371! More to come from this senior!
Senior Gracyn Reed shattered the school assist record during the Stephenville game giving her over 2000 assists. She has added to her record since with another 105 assists in the last 4 matches. So far this season, she has recorded 541 assists.
Another HUGE milestone made tonight by Senior @gracynreed! She is now sitting at over 2,000 assists!
