Learning that they had moved up to the #2 state spot in Class 3A earlier in the week, the Kennedale Lady Kats softball team (21-6) topped off the week by sweeping district 6-3A and earning yet another district title with a 3-0 victory over Mineral Wells Friday night.

Friday night the Lady Kats, in an unusually low scoring game, just needed Allie Turner to do what she does best, pitch a shutout. Allie for the evening struck out 9 strikeouts, walked 4 and allowed only one hit.
Elizabeth Schiele paced Kennedale Lady Kats Varsity at the plate. Elizabeth went 3-4 and scored one run. She singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
Kennedale took the lead in the third in a scoreless game, scoring Neifert on an RBI double by Aubrey Wooden.
