A motorist called Kennedale police shortly after 7 a.m.
Wednesday to report seeing the body in the parking lot of Life Fellowship
Church.
When they responded to the call at 611 N. Little School Road
in Kennedale, patrol officers found a fully-clothed white man dead in the
parking lot, said Kennedale police Capt. Darrell Hull on Wednesday.
Authorities said the victim has a gunshot wound to his head,
but that it does not appear to be a suicide. No vehicle was found in the
parking lot.
Hull said they think they have identified the victim, but
haven’t been able to contact the family yet.
?At this time, we?re not certain of a cause of death,? Hull
said. ?We?ll wait on a ruling by the medical examiner?s office.?
?The pastor of the church arrived and he didn?t believe the
man was a member of the church,? Hull said.
Hull said that the police department had not received any
reports of a missing person.
Crime scene officials were at the scene Wednesday morning
gathering evidence.
