It was an easy first step but as with last year a huge wall must be surmounted in the Area round. Last year, the Wildcats defeated Summit International Prep 82-47 but then lost to Dallas Carter 62-54. Dallas Carter finished the year 24-9 after losing to Oak Cliff Faith Family, the eventual 4A state champion in the third round.

This year the second round opponent is once again Dallas Carter (27-7, 12-0). Carter swept District 12/4A and in the last TABC poll was ranked #2. The Carter Cowboys defeated Aubrey 99-49 in the bi-district round on Tuesday night.

Lady Kat update …?

The Lady Kats were defeated by Dallas Pinkston after a strong showing in the 4A Area round. The final score of 62-51 but it was not an easy win for Pinkston. Pinkston led by by 3 at 14-11. Kennedale recovered and took a two point lead in the second after a 13-8. The Kats went into the half leading 24-22. It was the third period that Pinkston took control of the game outscoring the Lady Kats 22-12 going on win the game 62-51.
