Kennedale Parkway –At 4:55 p.m. officers responded to an assist call with the Fire Department. A seven-month-old child had fallen, sustaining a head injury. The child was taken to Cook Children?s Hospital for emergency treatment. CPS responded to the hospital due to older injuries being found on the child. An investigation is on-going.
?4/27 ? Incident (Other)?W. Kennedale Parkway -?At 8:30 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for not having a license plate on a trailer being pulled by the vehicle. A motorcycle on the trailer had a fictitious license plate registered to another vehicle. It also had an altered ignition allowing it to be started without a key. The vehicle occupants could not account for the identity of the trailer and motorcycle owner(s), changing their story several numerous times. The trailer and motorcycle were seized and impounded for the Auto Theft Task Force to investigate further.?4/27 ? Public Intoxication/Alcohol Cross Creek Drive -?At 10:58 p.m. an officer responded to an investigation. An adult male had been involved in an altercation at the location during the previous shift and had left the location for the night. The male subsequently returned without permission. He was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. He was transported to jail for booking.?4/26 ? Injury to a Child/Elderly/Disabled (Bodily Injury)??-?At 10:39 p.m. the police department was notified of a CPS complaint regarding a child being injured. The case is still open and under investigation.?4/30 ? Assault by Threat (Family Violence)?Oakwood Lane -?At 1:04 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male victim reported that his wife had threatened to stab him. No overt action was taken other than the threat. Based on past events related by the victim and a witness, the female suspect was charged with Assault by Threat.?4/30 ? Abandoned Vehicle?North Dick Price Road -?At 3:25 a.m. an officer discovered an abandoned vehicle in a traffic lane. Attempts to contact the current owner were unsuccessful. The vehicle was impounded as a traffic hazard.?4/30 ? Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence)?Peachtree Court -?At 3:20 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. An adult male victim reported that he had been injured by an adult male suspect. Based on the evidence, the suspect was arrested and transported to jail for booking.?5/02 ? Theft $750 to $2,500?W. Kennedale Parkway -?At 4:45 p.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) had stolen his 1992 Ford truck. The victim stated that the truck was left running with the keys in it while he went into the business.?5/02 ? Discharge Firearm in City Limits?S. Eden Road -?At 12:30 a.m. an officer responded to a shots fired call. The officer located the residence where the shots came from and identified several males on scene. Several firearms were located including a stolen handgun from Arlington and a handgun with the serial number filed off. The males were charged with discharging the firearms in city limits. 5/6 ? Driving While Intoxicated?W. Kennedale Parkway -?At 7:27 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. The vehicle, a white Mazda sedan, was driven by an adult female. The driver smelled of an alcoholic beverage and appeared to be intoxicated. She was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. The female was placed under arrest for DWI. She was transported to Mansfield Methodist Hospital for a blood draw and then to jail for booking.?5/7 ? Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence), Application for Mental Detention and Observation?E. Kennedale Parkway -?At 2:30 p.m. officers responded to an assault with injuries. A pregnant female victim was assaulted by a male suspect during an altercation, causing injury to her hip and leg. After being arrested the suspect made several remarks threatening suicide. He was taken to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention and evaluation. The assault charge is pending his release from the hospital.?5/8 ? Criminal Mischief $100 to $750?Eden Tap Road -?At 7:30 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) had damaged a home under construction. Nothing was taken from the site.?5/8 ? Criminal Mischief $750 to $2,500, Recovered Stolen Vehicle (Other Agency)?Mountain View Lane -?At 5:18 a.m. officers responded to a report of shots fired. On arrival officers located a parked vehicle that had multiple gunshot holes in it. Officers were able to access security videos of neighbors and observed a sport utility vehicle and pick-up truck enter the neighborhood. The truck left a short time later and shots were fired from the interior as it passed the parked vehicle. A search of the area revealed that the SUV was left abandoned and? was reported stolen out of Arlington. The vehicle was recovered for APD and impounded.?Link: Kennedale Police Department?
