Bobbie, known to many as “Bobbie Jean” was born Feb. 27, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas to Steve and Betty Kemp. She wasted no time as she began making her mark on the world. As a little girl, Bobbie and her brother, Bubba spent many care free days with their father, Steve, at the family business, the Fort Worth Horse and Mule Commission. Bobbie inherited her gift for gab from her father, Steve, who was quite possibly the world’s greatest horse trader and her head for business from her mother Betty, who was the Director of Finance at Harris Hospital.

Bobbie’s devotion to her students was only eclipsed by her steadfast devotion to her daughter Mechele. Bobbie was always Mechele’s biggest fan and supported her in any activity or endeavor she participated in. Despite all of Bobbie’s impressive professional accomplishments, she considered her greatest accomplishment to be the woman and mother Mechele became. Lord knows Bobbie loved Mechele but she may have loved her grandsons more. Burke and Wyatt were her pride and joy and she faithfully attended all their school and sporting events, boasting about their accomplishments.
