Annual rite of passage for KHS band members – freshman summer band camp – kicked off Wednesday night at the KISD (PAC) Performing Arts Center.

And so it begins …
Tradition means a lot to the Wildcat Marching Band becasue the Kennedale Wildcat Band has been recognized as a TMEA State Honor Band Finalist, UIL Area Marching Band Champion and a Three-Time UIL State Marching Band Finalist.
The program is under the direction of Erol Oktay, KISD Director of Bands, the only band director KHS has had in the last 18 years. He is assisted at the high school by Josie Inman (five years at KHS) and Tyler Broadhurst (starting his 2nd year at KHS).
