Kennedale High School has announced that Cuillin Chastain-Howley has been named as a Commended Student in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program.

About 35,000 Commended Students across the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more {{more}}than 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2012 Preliminary SAT /National Merit Scholarship Qualifying test (PSAT/NMSQT).

Cuillin is a top ranked senior at KHS. He is a very active member of the high school?s theater program as well as a member of the KHS Varsity tennis team. Cuillin also competes with our UIL academic team. He plans pursuing a degree in the STEM field (science, technology, engineering, and math) field after high school.
