There were two open positions on the Kennedale School Board this year, Place 6 and Place 7. Each place is for a three term. The deadline to file was February 28 for an election set for May 10, 2014.
In Place 7, the incumbent John Hunt filed and is unopposed.
In Place 6, the incumbent Lori Glovier decided not to seek re-election this year. {{more}}Shawn Ham filed for the position.
The KISD Board has cancelled elections in the past when there were no contested races and will consider that option in their upcoming meeting.
The KISD Board of Trustees meets monthly. The next meeting is scheduled for March 20, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. All meetings are open to the public. Agenda
