Friday night, September 20, was homecoming for Kennedale High School. The Homecoming Court along with the Alumni Coming Home Queen were announced at halftime of the Argyle vs. Kennedale game.

The 2013 Alumni Coming Home Queen is Mrs. Linda Walker Stone. She was presented with a tiara and flowers by the 2011 Coming Home Queen, Mrs. Billie Barnes Evans. She is a 1967 graduate of Kennedale High School. {{more}}In high school she was a member of the KHS Band, acted in the junior class play, served on the Annual Staff and was a member of the Y Teen Club. She was escorted by her husband the Rev. James Stone whom she married in 1969. Together they attended Faith Bible College in Tyler, Texas and later she attended Calvary Cathedral Institute of the Bible in Fort Worth. She and her husband have served many churches as interim pastors and co-pastors across central Texas.

The 3013 Homecoming Queen is Aberlee Cook who was escorted by her father. She is the daughter of Patrick and Melissa Cook. She is a senior at KHS where she is the Varsity Volleyball Captain, member of the Student Council, Key Club, FCA and National Honor Society, Peer Assistance Leadership (PAL) and a youth leader at the First Baptist Church of Kennedale. She plans to attend college for nursing. Coach Kelly Cagyle and Coach Doug Groff are the teachers who have inspired her the most.

The 2013 Homecoming King is Hunter McGahan who was escorted by his mom. Hunter, a senior at KHS, is the son of Doyle McGahan and Michelle McGahan. Hunter is a three year starter for the Wildcat football team and was selected as an all-district first team defensive end last year. He plans to attend college playing football and is considering ROTC and joining the United State Air Force after college. He said that the teachers that inspired him are Mr. Al Grotz, Coach Paul Trantham and Coach Brian Barrett.

Presenting Hunter and Amberlee with crowns were the 2012 Homecoming Queen and King, Miss Bethany Wiley and Mr. Casey Boone.

Senior Queen Nominee Janet Barron was escorted by her father. She is the daughter of Francisco Barron and Maria Barron. She was on the soccer team for two years and now runs cross country and track. Janet is a member of the Art Club, Spanish Club and Green Club. She plans to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in California. The teachers who inspired her the most are Ms. Christy Olson, Mrs. Jennifer Cook, Maestra Stephens and Coach Jimyria Woodard.

Senior King nominee Nicholas Swille was escorted by his mom. He is the son of David and Shelly Swille. Nicholas is an officer in the Thespian Society and Key Club. He is a member of the Spanish Club and Leadership Class and was part of the Ready, Set, Teach class. Nicholas wants to teach on the secondary level and plans to attend Concordia University in Nebraska or Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Teachers that have inspired him the most are Mrs. Nicole Barnes, Mrs. Wendy Hale, Mrs. Sherri Wade and Mr. Doug Parker.

Senior Queen Nominee Kinsey Blackburn was escorted by her father. She is the daughter of Robert Blackburn and Pamela Tullar. She has been in theatre, yearbook staff and was a cheerleader for two years. Kinsey plans to attend A&M University and major in psychology. The educators who have inspired her most are Assistant Principal Jeff Krieger, Mrs. Candi Allstot, Mrs. Kathy Duncan and Mrs. Lynette Degen. Her favorite teachers are Coach Richard Earle and Mrs. Brown.


Senior King Nominee Bradon Hull was escorted by his mom. He is the son of Toby and Jana Carter. Bradon is the captain and quarterback for the Wildcat football team. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Club and the Peer Assistance class. Bradon plans to attend college majoring in engineering. The teachers that inspired him are Coach Richard Barrett, Coach Brian Barrett, Mrs. Jennifer Cook and Maestra Stephens.

Junior Princess and Junior Prince are Kennedi Sipho and Joe Watson II. Kennedi is the daughter of?Dameon Sipho and DaMeesha Sipho. She is a member of the Varsity Cheer squad, National Cheer squad and an All-American Cheerleader. She is a class officer and a member of the Student Council, Key Club and the National Honor Society. The teacher that has inspired her the most has been Coach Barbara Johnston. Joe is the son of Joe and Sue Watson. Joe has played football, basketball and managed the tennis team. Teachers that have inspired are Coach Mindy Youngs, Coach Corrine Sevilla, Mr. Jeff Samms and Assistant Principal Brandi Thompson.

Sophomore Duchess and Duke are Claire Hamilton and Stephen Linares. Claire is the daughter of John ?and Jennifer Hamilton. She is a cross country runner, soccer player and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spanish Club and the Texas Association of Future Educators. Teachers that have inspired her are Coach Amy Newcomer and Coach Kelly Cagle. Stephen is the son of Elaine Linares and Frank Linares. He plays football, does powerlifting and is a peer mediator and mentor. Mrs. Julie Naughton is the teacher that inspires him the most.

Freshman Lady and Lord are Cara Hunt and Jason Pacheco. Cara is the daughter of John and Kim Hunt. She plays volleyball, soccer and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Her inspirational teachers are Coach Amy Newcomer and Coach Kay Smith. Jason is the son of Irma Rodriguez. He plays basketball. The teacher that inspired him the most was Mr. Ross Shreves.
