The Kennedale High School track team has brought home district, area and regional wins this spring, winning the 3A Region 1 championship in Lubbock last week.
The top six places scored points for the team, and the top two places advance to the state championship on May 10, 2014. {{more}}
Top performers in Lubbock were:

1st place: Girls 4x100m relay (Maiya Burgess, Hailey Patterson, Julia Mosely, Dede Powell)
2nd place: Boys 4x100m relay (Juwan Washington, Leon Powell, Donnie Darville, Baron Browning)
1st place: Girls 4x200m relay (Danielle Quaye, Julia Mosely, Dede Powell, Maiya Burgess)
1st place: Boys 4x200m relay (Donnie Darville, Baron Browning, Malik Burgess, Leon Powell)
1st place: Hailey Patterson ? Long Jump (new school record)
1st place: Leon Powell ? 200m (new regional record)
3rd place: Dede Powell ? 200m (new school record)
4th place: Taylor Thibeau ? high jump and long jump
4th place: Pryce O?Brien ? 400m
6th place: Julia Mosely ? 200m
