The program aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Kennedale officers collected 45 pounds of unused or expired medication, and the DEA Dallas Field Division (North Texas and Oklahoma) collected more than 37,000 pounds in total.
