Teacher honored at City Council Meeting

Retiring Kennedale teacher Linda Graddy was surprised at the Kennedale City Council Monday night with a proclamation proclaiming June 19, 2017 as Linda Graddy Day in Kennedale. {{more: Read More …}}
 
Graddy is retiring after 28 years in education with the last twenty years in Kennedale ISD and at James Arthur Intermediate School.
 
The proclamation recognized those years along with her extracurricular duties including directing the school?s annual talent show, the spring musical and the Encore Show Choir along with the fifth graders outdoor education weeklong trip to Camp Grady Spruce.
 
The Proclamation also cited her multiple awards including Educator of the Year at James Arthur and recognition by the Kennedale Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards luncheon plus her community service as the Scholarship Chair and Entertainment Co-Chair for Kennedale?s Art in the Park Festival for three years along with participation with various students in other city events including the Christmas Lighting and city parade events.
 

The Proclamation was issued by Mayor Brian Johnson.
