The Tuesday Night Soup Kitchen, a mission outreach of the Kennedale First Methodist Church has reported a good start to the program that served its first meals two weeks ago. {{more: continue ..}}

The weekly Tuesday night program is designed to serve those in need of a hot meal from 5 to 7 p.m. UMC calls it a time of ?sharing and caring.? It is all done with the help of volunteers and donations.

“Chef” Raymond Lee is cooking the meals and recently Mr. Chung, owner of Burger Box in Kennedale, donated 100 combo meals coupons.?
UMC Kennedale also operates the Food Pantry and the Mission Store that provide clothing and canned food items at little or no cost.
