Oscar Kinchelo (OK) Glass, 72, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Harbor Hospice in Dallas, Texas. He was born on November 11, 1948 in Fort Worth, Texas to Oscar and Carolyn Raines Glass.

Oscar grew up in Kennedale, Texas. He graduated from Kennedale High School in 1967.   After high school, he joined the Navy in 1967 and served for 4 years. He served in the Vietnam War, and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.  He was discharged in 1971, achieving the rank of Petty Officer Third Class.

Oscar began work for Walker Construction as a laborer and later advanced to become a bricklayer, where he worked for over 20 years. He then changed careers and became a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service.  He retired in 2010.

Oscar enjoyed crappie fishing, watching western movies, reading, and being outdoors. He also loved big gatherings (fish fries!) with family and friends.

Oscar was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Lee Glass; mother, Carolyn Raines Glass; brothers, Billy Glass and Bobby Dean Glass; and sister, Janet Glass Kohutek.

Oscar is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Chad) DeLoach of Waxahachie, Texas and Stephanie (Mike) Chesser of Mansfield, Texas; his sisters, Wanda Billerbeck and Carol Jean Goolsby of Lillian, Texas; his brother, Wesley Glass of Joshua, Texas; his grandchildren, Megan and Cara DeLoach, and Grayson Chesser; several beloved nephews and nieces, and many great-nephews and great-nieces; former wife, Bernadette Cidale Glass, of Mansfield, Texas; and companion, Sandra Sandlin.

A Celebration of life service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 2nd. A visitation will also be held at Emerald Hills from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, February 1st. Burial will follow the service at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
