The Kennedale City Council will meet in regular session Monday, August 15, 2016 in the City of Kennedale Council Chambers at 405 Municipal Drive, Kennedale, TX 76060. {{more: More information … }}
A work session is scheduled for 5:30 pm with the regular session set for 7 pm.
During the worksession the council will review a erosion control study and meet with legal counsel concerning the citizens? petition over the current water rates (closed session). The Streambank Erosion Control Study prepared by Halff Associates, Inc. will identify erosion issues that are occurring along Winding Creek. The study area is between Bowman Springs Road and runs southeast to Kennedale Sublett Road.
In regular session at 7 pm the Council will consider several issues but of most interest will be action on the water rate petition. The mayor has already set up a citizen review committee to look at the issue and the impact it has had on the community and the city budget. That committee is scheduled to report back to the city council at the next regular meeting set for September 19. Read more about the committee at Water Rate Review Committee
The council will also meet in closed session to conduct the annual evaluation of City Manager, Bob Hart.
