REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Class ?C? Texas Driver?s License
• Firefighter and Paramedic certifications required
• Satisfactory completion of the following:

• written examination
• physical agility test
• background and reference checks
• peer board review
• Chief?s interview
• psychological assessment
• polygraph exam
• physical fitness assessment
• medical exam
• drug and alcohol screening

The annual salary for a full-time firefighter/paramedic starts at $51,910. This includes base pay ($44, 300 annually), holiday (approximately $1,968 annually), FLSA overtime (approximately $5,642 annually). The City of Kennedale is a member of TMRS, offering a 2:1 match for every dollar contributed up to 7% of your salary. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance are provided as well as vacation and sick time, twelve (12) paid holidays annually, longevity pay (after one year of employment), and the option to participate in a 457 deferred compensation plan and/or flexible spending plan.
