Big game tonight at Springtown
The Kennedale Lady Kats on Friday defeated Lake Worth sweeping all three sets 25-12, 25-13 and 25-8. This was the final game of the first round action in District 7/4A with Kennedale in sole possession of the top spot. {{more: continue … }}
Lake Worth drops to 1-5 in district while Kennedale moves to 6-0. However, that spotless record will be put to test as the Kats travel to Springtown tonight, Tuesday, October 3at 6 p.m. Springtown currently is in 2nd place in district play with a single loss to Kennedale.
The Lady Kats find themselves in a familiar spot as last year the two team split games to share the title. On the Texas Girls Coaches Association website, Springtown is ranked #22 in Class 4A while Kennedale is in the Honorable Mention category. MaxPreps has Springtown ranked #15 while Kennedale is in at #22.
Kennedale won the first match at home in four sets 25-22, 25-27, 25-16 and 25-21.
