The Kennedale Lady Kats jumped out to an early lead on Lake Worth and captured a 20-2 victory on Tuesday at Lake Worth.

An RBI single by Elizabeth Schiele and a steal of home by Jazlyn Crowder during the first inning fueled the Lady Kats’ offense early.?Schiele did her best to jumpstart the offense for the Kats, reaching base five times. She scored three runs and had two RBIs.?
The Kats Varsity added eight more runs in the top of the third.?Maegan Garza’s?single got things going, plating?Schiele?and?Crowder.

Kennedale Lady Kats Varsity built upon its lead with 10 runs in the fourth. A clutch bases loaded walk scored Lacey Bailey to open the scoring in the frame.?

?Lake Worth couldn’t get anything going so long as Kaitlyn Leeds was on the hill. Lake Worth managed just one hit off of the varsity’s pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during her two innings of work.
Kennedale pounded Lake Worth pitching, as seven hitters combined for six hits, eight RBIs and 17 runs scored. ?The?Lady Kats’ closer, Schiele, put away the final six outs to record the save.
