Channel 11 Senior Meteorologist Visits KHS for Special Lesson on Environmental Systems

Students and staff participating in the Environmental Systems course at Kennedale High School recently benefitted from an intriguing presentation delivered by a very special guest: Channel 11 Senior Meteorologist Jeff Ray. Using a variety of engaging activities and props, Jeff Ray thoroughly interacted with students, sharing a bit about his career and utilized critical thinking and problem-solving methods to prompt student discussion and involvement. Soccer balls, tape measures, bottles, and other household items were able to translate into serious and meaningful scientific discussions. He even shared a bit about a personal interest for both him and his wife, gardening, and the positive and negative impacts the environment continues to have on this hobby. Naturally, Jeff brought with him video cameras for added enthusiasm for the class session together. The KISD greatly appreciates the time and service of Jeff Ray, in visiting our Environmental Systems students on Tuesday, October 11th, 2022.
