Two sisters, Alondra and Abigail Omos, have had the rare opportunity to be a part of two state title teams at Kennedale High School (2015 and 2016) and now as seniors are celebrating an even bigger title while playing for Dallas Baptist University Soccer as the team won the NCCAA Soccer title in overtime this past weekend.

Playing in Kissimmee, Florida, the #2 ranked DBU Patriots cemented a win over the #1 ranked Grace College in overtime with a 2-1 score. The Patriots reported that midfielder Abigail Olmos scored the tying goal midway through the second period.

Alondra and Abigail Olmos were playing for the Lady Kats under then Head Coach Michael Strange when the Texas UIL opened up a new soccer classification for 4A and under schools in 2014-15. Prior to that time, both the LadyKat and Wildcat soccer teams played up in the 5A division. Kennedale won the very first state championship in the new 4A division. They repeated a year later. Abigail and Alondra were starters for the LadyKats. Both players earned all-state honors while playing for Kennedale.

They are now seniors at DBU and have earned a number of honors while there. The following is from a post at DBU Athletics.
