We’ve had nominations pouring in for our teachers! Since we are all extra thankful for the hard work of our teachers we will be posting double spotlights in the coming weeks!
Our first spotlight for this week is brand new to Kennedale ISD this year – Mrs. Kristen Callihan at Kennedale Junior High School! Mrs. Callihan is a first-year Wildcat but is in her 11th year of education.
She currently teaches 8th grade English at KJH and serves as the Academic UIL Sponsor, National Junior Honor Society Sponsor, and the University of Kentucky Team Lead!
She is also Google for Education Certified Educator Level 1 and just earned her Tech Cadet badge from KISD.
We asked Mrs. Callihan what she enjoys most about working with her students: “The best part of working with students is getting to build relationships with them and helping them to succeed.”
Mrs. Callihan was nominated by a co-worker who shared “Mrs. Callihan is a valuable teacher at KJH and is always willing to help make our school thrive! She is #allin and an asset to our TEAM.”
Mrs. Callihan is already making an impact in just a few months of working in Kennedale ISD. We could not be more excited to have her join the Wildcat family this year!
