Dave Cambell has reported the transfer of junior Fredrick Dotie (6’0. 190) to Kennedale High School from North Mesquite High School.

Playing for the 5A North Mesquite Mustangs (2-8,1-6), he was a first-team All-Distict player as a junior playing safety at the newly opened school.

He could help strengthen the defense next year after the loss of Poasa Utu through graduation. Already in the Wildcat backfield is returning 3-star Dedaunte Scott. Utu finished his high school career as a 3-star recruit and signed with Oklahoma State.

Dotie has also been rated a 3-star recruit and has garnered early offers from Arkansas State, Missouri, TCU, Texas Tech, Utah State, and UTSA. Dotie is rated #92 in the 2024 Dave Cambell Texas Football Rising Hot 100 and is the #12 safety prospect in the state.

Last year the Wildcats finished 8-4, 6-1 overall, and made it to the 2nd round of the UIL state playoffs for Class 4A.
