Divine help comes in different forms. God is our Supreme Divine Helper and the source of all helps. He created us male and female in line with His divine plan and purposes for our destinies to be fulfilled.
God’s plan for humanity includes procreation. For this reason He created them male and female, and blessed them to be fruitful and to multiply (Genesis 1:27-28). Mothers are God’s gift to humanity. They are agents of God to breed children. They are birthers. Mothers are divine destiny helpers too. They are divine helpers by virtue of their divinely assigned responsibility to conceive, birth and nurture destiny of humans created by God.
Mothers are celebrated for the great impacts they make to lives. They are unique beings; graced and strengthened by God for great exploits. To all mothers – Happy Mother’s Day again!
- Just as there are physical helpers, there are also spiritual helpers. Our Spiritual Helper is the Holy Spirit. Jesus stated this in John 14:16,17 (NKJV) 16 “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever– 17 “the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and dwells in each believer to help believers fulfill godly ordained responsibilities.
Jesus’ promised to not leave us as orphans. Thus, He gave us the holy Spirit to help us. The role of the Holy Spirit is all-encompassing. He is our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, and Present Helper.
The Holy Spirit helps us in many ways. They include conviction of sin (John 16:8), knowing and understanding the things of God (John 14:26; Luke 12: 11-12), being counsellor and comforter (John 14:26 ), and as intercessor (Romans 8:26-27).
Angels are helpers of destiny too. They are created by God to minister to Him and to human beings. They are specially equipped with both spiritual and physical abilities. They are celestial or heavenly beings commissioned to execute the will and plan of God. Their services to humanity are enormous and are read in scriptures to have served in diverse roles e.g. they serve as guardian, defender, messenger etc.
- God is loving, caring, gracious and merciful to have provide us with divine help. This shows His heart and desire to ease the task of fulfilling assigned destiny. Apostle Peter testifies that , “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” (2 Peter 1:3).
All we need to live a successful life that glorifies God are available to us. Let us make use of the help made available to us. More on destiny helpers to come.
God bless,
