The fight for the top spot in District 10/4A seems to be settled for the three teams that were in the battle. With Life Waxahachie’s sweep of Alvarado along with a split with Kennedale, left Life in first at 11-1 and 30-5 overall. Kennedale follows in second place at 9-2 and 26-7 overall. Alvarado is now in 3rd place with an 8-3, 27-5 record.
Life Waxahachie was able to finish its season at home with a sweep of its top competitors, beating Kennedale 36-28 and finishing off Alvarado 50-38. Life has no more games left in the regular season and will go into the playoffs as the #1 seed.
Kennedale has one more game Tuesday @ Venus (6-26, 0-11) at 7 pm, while Alvarado finishes their season playing at home against Ferris (17-15, 5-6). Kennedale should remain as the #2 seed with Alvarado as the #3 seed.
The only fight in District 10/4A is for fourth place and the 4th seed in the playoffs. With Ferris (5-6) playing Alvarado Tuesday along with Hillsboro (4-7) playing Godley (2-90, it is likely that Ferris and Hillsboro will be in a deadlock at 5-7. Each team owns a win over the other this season.
