Lady Kats Volley play multiple 5A/6A teams for a 6-7 start

At this point in the season, the Kennedale Lady Kats have played 13 sets or games with the first contest dating back to the first day of the new school year. The Lady’s have won 6 and lost 7 of those matches.

It is not unusual that the Kennedale Lady Kat Volleyball program begins the season with a visit to the higher-ups i.e. larger schools. Thus far Kennedale has played seven 6A teams, three 5/A teams (one team twice), and two 4/A teams.

Against 6A teams the Kats are 3-4; against 5A teams, Kennedale is 3-1; and, against fellow 4A members, the Kats are 1-1.

Preparing for district play …

With the step-up schedule, the Lady Kats want to build skills and team cohesiveness before district play starts on September 20.  Last year the Kats were left out of the playoffs after finishing in 5th place. The district should be as, if not more, competitive this season.  More on that in a later article.
