EXPERIENCING THE PRESENCE OF GOD! 03/15/2021
When looking for ways to deepen your devotions in your time alone with God, it’s important that you begin with worshipping God! Worship quickens the spirit, awakening all of your senses to God. It realigns your heart in relation to the Lord and prepares your mind to receive Him, focusing all of your energies on Him.
One of the best ways to worship alone with God is through the Psalms. The Psalms of the Bible are unique among Scripture because they are inspired expressions of the heart offered up to God in poetic verse.
Select one of the psalms and lift your voice to the Lord, and as Psalms 66:8 declares- O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard: you will then begin to sing your way into worship with your spirit and the song itself strokes the heartstrings of God. Psalm 95:8 Sing unto the LORD with… the voice of a psalm.
Bringing a Psalm into your prayer time will enrich your conversation with God as well. It tunes your heart to God’s frequency and sets your mind and heart in a context of genuine devotion. You will discover inspiration in speaking the verses out loud before the Lord, or being still and knowing He is God as you mediate on His Word! You might experiment in any one of the Psalms or as we call it – To Practice the Presence of God anywhere you might be! Getting creative with your expressions of praise and worship will help you in discovering how to touch the heart of God and minister to the Lord!!

Father; I lift up my praise to you today and give you all the glory in my life. You are the answer to all things now and forever! I worship you today with all of my heart! I declare today Psalms 27:1-3 You are my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? Lord, You are the stronghold of my life-of whom shall I be afraid? My heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident in YOU! I lift up my voice to worship YOU and YOU alone! I lift up my hands and surrender all to YOU! I come into your courts with thanksgiving and I worship you!!
Live Now, Live On, Love Life by picking a Psalm and lifting your voice to God!!
