The Texas Education Agency recently released 2014 accountability ratings for public schools and districts across the state. Kennedale ISD was among the school districts that met the current state standards for school performance with 3 campuses earning a combined 10 Distinction Designations. {{more}}
The 2014 ratings are based primarily on student results on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness called STAAR exams taken this past spring in grades 3-8 and at the end of specific course exams in grades 9-12 called EOCs. These make up the Performance Index component of the rating system.
To earn the state standard designation, campuses and district must meet or exceed the standards set in four different areas: Student Achievement, Student Progress, Closing Performance Gaps, and Postsecondary Readiness. Readmore on standard

Kennedale campuses met or exceeded those standards plus earned Distinction Designations. Earning the Distinctions were:
- Kennedale High School with two in Reading/English Language Arts and Science;
- Kennedale Junior High with six (out of seven) in Reading/English Language Arts, Math, Science, Top 25% progress, Top 25% closing the performance gap, and Post-secondary readiness;
- James F Delaney Elementary with two in Math and Top 25% closing the performance gap.
