Pre-engineering team earns special recongnition …
 
Congratulations to the KJHS Future Cities Teams for representing KJHS in January at the pre-engineering competition at the UTA College of Engineering. The team of Jordan Samms (8th Grade), Morgan Earle (8th Grade), Savannah Keller (7th Grade), and Chris Ramphul (7th Grade-alternate) earned a special recognition award for ?Excellence in Application of Futuristic Concepts? from the Fort Worth branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

As part of the award, IEEE gave each of the students Amazon gift cards. Team Nova Initia?s sponsor is David Boubel, Math teacher at KJHS. Parent Jeff Samms and KHS Math teacher accompanied the group.

Selected as the January Students of the Month were Ryan Roller (8th Grade), Taylor Ann Fandrich (8th Grade), Alex Saenz (7th Grade), and Curtiss Wiggs (7th Grade).

Selected as February Students of the Month were Sunny Pradhan (8th Grade), Jade Williams (8th Grade), Brianna Hull (7th Grade), and Ernie Prinz (7th Grade).
 
These students were nominated and selected by the teachers and staff of KJHS.

Selected as Teacher of the Month for January was Ms. Jimenez. Coach Jimenez is a 7th grade English teacher at KJHS. She was nominated and voted by the students.
