Choir Director Matthew Schenck,in announcing the selection of Hubenak on Twitter on January 23, 2018, said the following.?

?Congratulations to our newest All-State Choir member Lane Hubenak! Lane is now among the finest musicians in the state of Texas.?

Lane is no stranger to state level competition. As a sophomore and as a junior he participated in UIL Choir contests, earning a Superior rating to advance both years to state. He has also been part of the KHS Ensemble choir that won superior rating at state the last two years.

Only 112 selected …?

The All-State Choir (small school choir ? 1A to 4A) selected only 112 students from across the state for this honor.
?

For the school years 2015-16 and 2016-17, two KHS student made the All-State Choir, Leanne Blind and Noah Wykoff, each of them for both years.

The choir will perform at the TMEA Clinic and Convention next week February 14-17 in San Antonio.The choir is sponsored by the Texas Music Educators Association. Find out more @??TMEA
