Kari Pride ? Principal James F Delaney Elementary …
I am Kari Pride, the new principal at James F. Delaney Elementary, and I am absolutely thrilled to be here! We have had an exceptional start to the new school year and are anticipating great accomplishments and celebrations in the upcoming weeks and months!
I am starting my 22nd year in education. Wow, that sounds like a lot! Although I am new to KISD, I have previously been a principal in AISD for the past 4 years, prior to that an assistant principal for 7 years, a school counselor for 5 years and a special education teacher for 5 years. In all of my various roles, my passion has been working with students and the school community to promote lifelong learners, positive citizenship and empowering students to reach their full potential.
My other passion in life is my family. I have 3 amazing sons that I love spending my down time with: Richard who is 28 years old, Reid who is 26 years old and Ross who is 22 years old. In addition to my 3 sons, I have two furry family members – Bob the Cat and Bailey the dog.
I look forward to a fantastic school year! I am so excited to be at James F. Delaney Elementary!
