My wife and I bought our first home in Kennedale (Steeple Chase Estates) in 2004 because of the small-town feel within the city limits and we’ve never left. We started our family here, raising our two kids, both who attend RF Patterson Elementary.

For the past 6 years I was a teacher/coach at Kennedale High School. In that time, I?ve been a trailblazer in implementing technology in the classroom, led the boy?s soccer team to their first ever UIL state playoffs, and coached the girl?s soccer team to back to back UIL State Championships (2015.2016).

My experience as a teacher, a coach, and now an administrator, gives me a unique vision of the daily obstacles that teachers and students face in the classroom. But more importantly, my experience has allowed me to properly determine simple solutions that can be implemented to overcome these obstacles.
It?s TIME…KISD provide innovative teacher trainings/resources and make it a priority to equip our educators, especially elementary teachers, with new, creative ways to make their classroom engaging.

It?s TIME…KISD explore both an increased digital approach to core subjects in both elementary and secondary, and add career classes such as Auto shop and Cosmetology, where students can take ownership of their learning and graduate with more than just knowledge but creative skills that can be put back into the community and their futures.

It?s TIME…for a fresh perspective on education for this new generation of students from an educator that has been a model of increasing student achievement both in and out of the classroom for the past 6 yrs in Kennedale.
