The 4th Brooke Hester Hustle will be held at the Kennedale Town Center on August 16th at 8 am. It includes a certified 5k course and 1 mile fun run. Children 6 and under run free in the 1 mile fun run.
All proceeds go to Childhood cancer Research. The Brooke’s Blossoming Hope for Childhood Cancer Foundation has already given $30,000 to childhood cancer research. This is a non-profit charity so any sponsors donation will be tax exempt.
This event benefits Neuroblastoma Research and is named for Brooke Hester who is a 6 year old girl who was diagnosed with stage lV neuroblastoma in November 2010 when she was 3 1/2. Her father and uncle grew up in Kennedale graduating from Kennedale HS. Her grandmother still lives in Kennedale as does her aunt, uncle and niece.
