The Kennedale High School Audio/Visual program has had seven advanced A/V student awarded scholarship to the 2016 Austin Filmmaker?s Festival that starts this week. {{more:Read more …}}
Approximately 300 scholarships are awarded to students and schools across the state. These students will have the opportunity to attend workshops taught by experienced Hollywood editors, directors and producers.
The workshop, which kicks off Wednesday, October 12 will also give students the opportunity to attend the 23rd Annual Austin Film Festival & Conference, October 13 ? October 20, 2016. The student portion runs from Wednesday through Sunday.The students will be able to learn more about the art and business of filmmaking and screenwriting. Specifically designed student panels are held Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15, and teacher panels are held Sunday, October 16.
The KHS student will be attending along with KHS AV teacher Daniel Soliz.
