Allie Turner struck out 19 batters, but it wasn’t enough to carry Kennedale Lady Kats to a win on Saturday, as Kennedale Lady Kats Varsity fell to Burkburnett 3-0 at Bridgeport in 12 innings.
It was a doozy of a game that left both players and fans exhausted. Neither team was able to unlock the pitching of the other for 11 innings. Burkburnett scored the only runs of the game off of a three run homerun in the 12th. {{more}}

The Lady Kats were playing through one of their best season, rising to #3 in state rankings and making it all the way to the region final before losing in this one game playoff for the right to play in Austin next week for the state title.
