Wednesday, January 30th, was the first day to file for three city council and two school board positions to be elected May 11th. The first day to file for the other seat open on the school board, caused by the resignation of John Hunt, is not until February 27th.?Neither the City nor the School District reported any filings on the first day. {{more}} By email City Council member Brian Johnson?and Charles Overstreet have said that they filing for re-election. At this date the Kennedale News has not heard from incumbent City Council members Frank Hernandez or from incumbent school trustees Dr. Mike Walker and Janet Adams as to their plans for filing.?Dates to Remember:
