Connie was born April 23, 1932, in Sahuarita, Ariz., to David and Julia Obregon. Her marriage to her husband, Col. James E. Redden, allowed her to live in various places before settling down in Kennedale for the past 30 years.

Connie spent her career as a licensed vocational nurse, having received her certification from Bethania Hospital in Wichita Falls.

Connie had a great sense of humor and her grandchildren thought of her as the “coolest” grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and dancing, and was an artistic painter. She was loved by everyone she met and lived her life to the fullest. Connie will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Col. James E. Redden; second husband, Ed Talamantes; grandson, Allen Wilemon; sisters, Alice King, Julia Rodgers, Mary Baughman and Blanch Armenta; and daughter-in-law, Merrie Redden.
