Going undefeated in district play is meaningful, winning more than 30 games in a season is heady stuff. A couple of KHS teams have broken that ceiling, usually reserved for top teams in the state. Of course, this is not the end of the season as the Kats move into the 4A state volleyball playoffs and the win record should improve.?In the District 9-4A wrap up this past 8 days, the Lady Kats defeated Castleberry 25-8, 25-10, 25-10; defeated Diamond Hill Jarvis 25-16, 25-6, 25-14 and last night swept Western Hills, 25-12, 25-4, 25-10.?Overall Kennedale captured the title by winning the home and away series from every district team and in the process lost only one set of those 12 matches (games). That was against Benbrook who finished in 2nd place in district with a record of 25-12, 10-2.?13 in a row …??Kennedale has now won 13 straight matches and for the season has taken 83 of 105 sets played. This will mark Kennedale?s 6 straight district championship and the 13th straight appearance in the state playoffs.?In the state rankings, Kennedale is currently 16 in Class 4A in the Texas Girls Coaches Association.
