Last year, after the new 4A soccer division was formed, KHS Soccer Head Coach Michael Strange was quick to volunteer Kennedale as the site for the Region I playoffs. Kennedale will again play host the playoffs starting this Friday. {{more:[read more]}}one of four regional sites around the state …Four of the final 16 teams in girls 4A and boys 4A will be playing this weekend at Wildcat Stadium, giving local fans a chance to watch some of the best in area soccer up close.
Friday will be the region semi-finals. The girls will play at 11 am and 1:30 p.m. with the finals schedule for Saturday at 11:00 am. The boys will play at 4 pm and 6:30 pm with the final schedule for Saturday at 1:30 pm.
Friday Schedule …Girls Soccer
- 11 am #2 Abilene Wylie (24-4, 5-1) vs unranked Melissa.
- 1:30 pm #1 Kennedale LadyKats (23-2, 9-0) vs #14 Stephenville (13-4-2, 5-1).
Boys Soccer
- 4 pm #15 Stephenville 13-0-2, 6-0 vs unranked Pampa (5-12-4, 0-3-1)
- 6:30 pm unranked Abilene Wylie (7-10-3, 2-3) vs #12 Argyle (14-1-3, 6-0)
