As part of the National Park Trust?s ?Kids to Parks Day,? Kennedale will be holding Bark in the Park and KIDFISH at Sonora Park (263 S. New Hope Road) on Saturday, May 16th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. {{more}}

Bark in the Park features pet registration, vendor booths, a caricature artist, and low-cost vaccines from the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (until noon).
KIDFISH is a youth outreach program dedicated to facilitating and educating a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts. Bring your kids or grandchildren, and try your hand at fishing in the Sonora Park pond! Poles will be available to borrow if you don?t have one.
This is a great opportunity to spend some time in the great outdoors, meet some new people, and see all that the park has to offer.
The splash pad will be open.
