A bird identification workshop sponsored by City of Kennedale will be held this Saturday July 19 from 8- 10 a.m. The classroom portion will be held at Kennedale City Hall from 8-8:30 a.m. Bird watching will done at the Southwest Nature Preserve. {{more}}This is a rescheduled event originally set for June 29.
The 8:00 AM workshop will cover the following topics: Presentation on bird anatomy as it pertains to field identification, birds common to this region, basic bird ecology, and more. Then participants will visit the boardwalk at the South Pond in Southwest Nature Preserve and will hike along the meadow loop. The concrete trail leading to the boardwalk is handicapped accessible. Please note the meadow loop has some steep climbing.
