A special board meeting has been called this week on Thursday for the Kennedale Board of Trustees. The purpose of the meeting will be to hire new personnel.
In Texas for teachers to get out of their contracts without penalty, they must resign 45 days before the first day of the new school year. For teachers in Kennedale and most area schools that deadline is Friday, July 11. {{more}}This means there is a lot of activity as that deadline nears. Teachers changing jobs want to know that they have been officially hired before they turn in a resignation. Across Texas school boards are meeting this week to hire new staff.
There is no old business listed on the agenda with new business consisting of resignations/retirements, hiring of personnel including considering and taking action on the hiring of the principal of Kennedale High School along with other matters concerning personnel.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the KISD Administration Building, 120 W Kennedale Parkway in Kennedale. The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend.agenda
