Earlier this year there had been talk of a woman?s body being found in the Kennedale area. In the March 9th Saturday edition of the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the newspaper confirmed that the body of Casey Egbers, 26, of Arlington was found in December of last year off of Interstate 20 and U.S. 287 in a shallow grave in a secluded wooded area in Kennedale. ?{{more}}

The information was in an article reporting on the indictment of Jacob Damm, 26, for the killing of Egbers ?in late August. Damm, is an Arlington resident who reportedly lives in the 2200 block of Ridgeway Street in southwest Arlington. The alleged motive for the killing apparently stemmed from a dispute over drugs. Damm was apparently upset that Egbers had stolen more 100 prescription pills from him.

It started out as a missing person report filed October 15 which eventually led to Damm and his girlfriend, Taylor Nicole Verran, 25, of Fort Worth. Verran was indicted in January on a charge of tampering with evidence. She was the one who led police to the body of Egbers, who reportedly was shot in the head before being buried.
