It is a time honored traditional way to destroy old and tattered flags. The local scout troop and cub pack will be hosting the event at Sonara Park on November 14 beginning at 7 p.m.

Veterans and first responders are especially welcomed to attend but it is open to the general public as well.

If you have flags in need of retirement please feel free to bring them to the retirement ceremony or drop them off at the Boy Scout Hut at the corner of Spiller and Broadway ( 210 W Broadway ) in Kennedale. You can also call Lamar Saxon at 817-412-8981 to arrange a pick-up.
