Monarch butterfly numbers have significantly decreased in recent years and adding butterfly gardens will not only help but attract other butterflys while adding to home landscapes.(And, an added benefit, it will also attract hummingbirds).
 
The KKBC wants to add at least 20 specific butterfly gardens before the annual Monarch migration happens in late March. They would also love to have a picture of your garden in bloom.

Any Kennedale citizen interested just needs to go by the Kennedale City Secretary?s Office at Kennedale City Hall, 405 Municipal Drive and ask for a $25 voucher at {{t2:Stegall?s Nursery and Plant

Farm: }} (just west of Kennedale off of Dick Price Road at 5652 Wilson Road, Fort Worth). The voucher is for purchasing nectar producing plants.

 
The KKBC will also be planting flower gardens at Sonora and TownCenter Park.
