Calling for the community to heal with a special night of prayer

Church leaders at First Methodist Church of Kennedale feel that the way the community has approached our current city political problems has been wrong and wants to invite anyone and everyone to join together in prayer for our city and it’s leaders.

Two weeks ago the church started a weekly prayer session, no sermons, no formal service but just a time to pray.
?
“This was our second week to do this and it is so nice and calm, peaceful and you leave with a sense everything is going to work out,” said church member Laurie Sanders in an email.

Community Time of Prayer ~ Thursdays 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

A Quiet Time with God ~ A Time to Pray for our City, our Country, our World, our Families, our Churches. A Time of Silence. No visiting, discussions, or debates, just a time to unload your burdens and give them to God. Prayer makes everything better!

The doors of First United Methodist Church of Kennedale will be open, so come on in, kneel down at the altar or sit quietly in the pews, pray and leave. Please share this with your friends.

2 Chronicles 7:14 – If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
