On a cool spring day in the great city of Arlington, Texas May 28th, 1976,to be exact, a precious baby girl was born to Carl and Brenda Smith. They decided to name their precious gift Carla Ann.
Carla grew up in the Mansfield area, attended Mansfield High school and then graduated in spring of 1994. In August of 1984, in the hallowed walls of New Hope Baptist Church, Carla met the love of her life Wayne, it was love at first sight. After a short period of courting, Wayne asked for his soul mates hand in marriage, and were joined together in holy matrimony.
Carla accepted Christ at an early age, She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Kennedale where she used her God-given talents. She loved her church home and remained a faithful member serving as the Director of Children’s Ministry.
Carla had a contagious smile that left a great impression on anyone she met. She was full of energy and always concerned about the well-being of others. Carla was devoted to her children ? Aaron, Abigail, Wyatt, Brylee, and Presley. She loved spending time with her children and close friends.
Carla was an active participant of the PTA and Vacation Bible School. You could find her camping with family, enjoying the precious time laughing and spreading joy to everyone around her.
On December 27th, 2015, Carla heard the master say ?Well done thy good and faithful servant?, and transitioned from earthly labor, to her heavenly reward. She has now been reunited with her Grandfathers Sonny Boy Smith and Larry Tepfer, Grandmother Mary Tepfer, and Little Granny.
