At its regular monthly luncheon the Kennedale Chamber heard a presentation by Constable Clint Burgess on ?squatters? on Jan 16, 2013. The luncheon is held the third Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. ? 1 p.m.

About the speaker this month: Constable Burgess is a lifelong resident of Tarrant County and has lived in Mansfield for the past twenty years. He is a graduate of Mansfield High School. After High School he entered into the U.S. Air Force and served for a period of four years. Burgess?was an Air Surveillance Operator?{{more}}on the AWACS plane and assigned to the 965 AWACS Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He served three tours in Saudi Arabia and two in Turkey to maintain surveillance of Iraq after Desert Storm. He also worked in cooperation with the D.E.A., US. Customs, and the U.S. Coast Guard on counter-drug missions out of Panama and the CONUS United States. While in the Air Force, he was able to visit twenty-one countries and forty-one different States. After leaving the Air Force he began to work as a Deputy at the Ellis County Constable Office Pct. 4. In 2003 he was promoted to the position of Chief Deputy Constable. He served Ellis County for a total of seven years and left at the end of 2004 after being elected the Constable of Tarrant County Precinct 7.?Constable Burgess was sworn into office on January 1, 2005. He serves the areas of Arlington (south of Pioneer Pkwy), Burleson (East of I-35), Dalworthington Gardens, Fort Worth (East of I-35) Grand Prairie (Tarrant County portion), Kennedale, Mansfield, and Rendon.
